Mental Pause II

I have a lot more to write about my pets but today I want to write about today.

Today I took Lilly, Abbe and Angus for a walk at the Berkeley Marina. I met Melinda with her two dogs, Pepper and Zoe. We're both going to a pot luck dance party tonight in Marin and we're bringing a Margherita Salad with tomatoes from our respective vegetable gardens. So I asked Melinda to bring her tomatoes to the park so I can take them back with me to make the salad.

After the walk I went back to her car to get the tomatoes. When I got back to my car, I put the bag down so that I can handle the three muddy dogs and their weildy retractable leashes. I also gave them water. Once I got them settled which was quite a feat, I started my car and drove off.

I noticed that I had a missed call from Isa. I returned her call but the signal was poor so I pulled over and parked in one of the berths. We talked about 10 minutes about her first week teaching at the new school, San Lorenzo Manor and planned to meet tomorrow for another dog walk. When the conversation ended, I proceeded to take off heading towards Oakland. I took the frontage road.

When I was about a half a mile on the road, I realized I left the tomatoes on the ground in the Berkeley Marina parking lot. MENTAL PAUSE!!! How frustrating and embarassing to admit to, but it is the truth! I turned back and prayed to Saint Anthony that they still be there. I am happy to report that they were still sitting exactly where I left them.

I'm going to make my salad now.
